Canada only has 2 credit offices Transunion and Equifax.

I believe you have to pay to receive them online but if you print out their forms the same rules as the US apply, one free report a year.

what happens if the account had gotten bought off and now that company has a claim against you on your credit along with the collector. i pulled all 3 and different reports have different information on the accounts. what do i do about that? thank you.

I need a little more detail to figure out what you are saying.

So, for example, you had an account with Company A. Company A has a listing on your credit report. You did not pay Company A, so they sold your debt to Company B. Now Company B also has a listing on your report for the debt. If this is the case, it is acceptable as long as Company A shows the debt as a chargeoff. If both companies are showing the debt as currently due, that's a problem.

As for the credit reports saying different things, that does happen. Some companies do not report to all 3 bureaus and some companies do not report regularly, so there may be variations in what you see across the three reports.

This is really great information-thanks so much for sharing. Last weekend, I cleared a 5-shelf bookcase, 2 rubbermaid totes, a laundry basket and an Ugg box (!) full of papers down to two large piles on my desk. I am working on getting my financial records in order and this will certainly help!
