Washing Hemp inserts

I bought some Babykicks JoeyBunz hemp inserts from a friend recently. Do the insert need to be washed separately or is that only during prep?

Once they are fully prepped you can wash together.

If they're used and had already been prepped you can wash them just like normal with all the other diaper laundry.
