Gdiaper insert

I am full of questions tonight!
Gdiaper users, what do you use for cloth inserts? The gcloth are not at all absorbent enough so we use gmds but they are pretty thick. Is there anything else we could use that might be thinner but just as absorbent? We also have stink issue with hemp.

Re: Gdiaper insert

Hmm... I'm no help, sorry, but I'll give you a bump!

I use the g-cloth and love it. We put a small g-cloth behind a med/lg and it has been working great with my 13.5 mo. Maybe you could try something with cotton on top and bamboo on bottom? I'm sure you could find a WAHM to make some custom inserts with however many layers you want in whatever material you want. Maybe that would work better for ya.

Re: Gdiaper insert

I loved using OsoCozy flats in mine! They absorbed more than gcloth but weren't as bulky as prefolds.

I love my gcloth, but also use zorb for extra absorbency... Inserts and prefolds. Zorb prefolds with a stay dry are nice for over night.

Re: Gdiaper insert

You can sew flats into an insert (there's a thread on it somewhere...) and use those.

Re: Gdiaper insert

I just fold one or two Gerber flats up into my gPants. Cheap & easy. I have found the Mabu Baby inserts from Wal-Mart work very well in them too, and aren't bulky at all. The maxi size inserts fit in my large gDiapers, so I'm guessing the other sizes would be equivalent as well. I'm not sure there isn't a cheaper option than that, though.
