What would you get?

I have a swagbucks account and have gotten numerous giftcards in the past couple of months and I'm trying to figure out what to get with them. I have $45 in giftcards, waiting on one more to get a total of $50 and I'm trying to figure out if I should get homeschooling stuff with it or kitchen stuff or organization stuff.

Anyway, any good suggestions for homeschooling items to get from Amazon that you think is essential? I know I have some stuff on my wish list but wondering what you all think too. Book suggestions are good too. Ideally, looking for stuff I can get that will get me the free shipping but could also use the giftcards for that as well so throw any suggestions at me.

Thanks!

Is your DD in first grade? I know amazon has unifix cubes and I think those are awesome manipulatives for math skills. Then, once your younger DD is old enough, she could use them too, for counting, patterning, sorting, etc.

Kindergarten/first grade. I'll have to look those up. Thanks!

Re: What would you get?

You can get quality books like an animal dictionary or the human body dictionary an atlas or any other subject you want to read. You can sometimes find curriculum books on there. You could get an abacus or a base ten numbers set. There is a lot you can get on amazon. Over half the stuff I need can be found on amazon.

Re: What would you get?

We got DS the whole set of the Geo Puzzles from and he is learning geography very quickly. He's better at it than mom and dad most days

Ooh, butterfly habitat, may have to look into that one but I need to find out if they still do that butterfly garden here which reminds me, I really should see what they have at the nature center they have here. So frustrating, this area had TONS of great stuff to do when I was a kid. I took summer classes every year of fun stuff that was all free but now, they've cut the classes down, have them only available a couple of weeks during the summer, and you have to pay for them. Boo.

Now, I've seen the Unifix cubes but I've also seen the snap cubes. Could KICK myself because I found a HUGE bag of them at a garage sale one summer for real cheap and I bought them only to give them away before we went to Korea (KICK KICK KICK!) and now I want to get them again but they're not cheap. Or they're cheap but there are complaints on Amazon about them not working too well.

This helps, getting my wish list up and that way I can work on getting stuff here and there between now and summer and even beyond summer.

The butterfly habitat is very cool! Just make sure its warm enough outside to release them when you're done. I think I want to get the ladybug habitat next!
