Re: Anyone have an accurate BFP well before your missed period?

I just did this! lol took a test, forgot about it, came back to it 30 minutes later to find 2 lines, thought it was a cruel evap joke! ran out, got a digital, held it for a bit and did it at like 830pm and got a 'pregnant'! it was 2-3 days before AF was due I think

Re: Anyone have an accurate BFP well before your missed period?

I got a positive test 9 days past ovulation, but I have short luteal phases so it was only a couple days before my missed period (but that's not the time span that counts in this discussion anyway). If there's not a lot of HCG in your system, it will take longer for the line to show up. I would take another test and watch it for the full allotted time before I called it a positive.

Thanks everyone! I have another question. Were the tests yall used the early detection kind? The one I used said it could detect 5 days before. I took another one this morning and it was negative, but it was the kind that says not to test until 1 day after your missed period.

yes, only use the "early detection" types for testing before AF is due. Each test type has a different level of HCG that it can pick up. Equates are very sensitive. Dollar Tree, yes at the dollar store, are also super sensitive (and cheap!).

And yes, you can get accurate BFP's between 7-10dpo with the sensitive test

Re: Anyone have an accurate BFP well before your missed period?

I bought mine in bulk from Amazon. Wondfo is the brand name. They are just as sensitive as First Response Early Result but WAY cheaper. I paid $11 for 100 tests... They do not come in a cassette, so you have to pee in a cup and dip your stick, but that's well worth it to me

Peeonastick.com or so is a website (google it) that compares all brands...
