Would you ....

cross the picket lines to take your child to school ? our teachers here in hayward are on strike and Isaac and I attend a class thru the Hayward Adult school called Parents and 1s and Movement Magic. They are intended as Adult Ed but for the toddler The teacher called tonite and she said she would be in class tomorrow even though the teachers are still on strike ... i am not sure if I should go or not. DH took the call I was napping
What would you do ? ?

Howdy! I'm in SJ!
Anyway - go. I think a lot of the "adult Ed" and "cumminity Ed" classes - even if held on school grounds are not taught by/within the school district so you're not "crossing picket lines" since your teacher is not in the union.

I would. I have a real problem with teachers going on strike during school time. There is a division in a city near here that the kids did not go to school for a couple of weeks because they didn't have enough temporary staff to teach the kids. I understand WHY they go on strike during school time because it gets the most attention and the faster action because of it, but IMO it's the kids who get hurt from it the most.
