My Marchkin is here!!!

It's been ages since I have posted but that is because of one very good reason!!

January was a difficult month for us and my pregnancy. After being hospitalized for complications 3 times in less than 30 days, Baby "J" was born via c-section on January 25th. I was 34 weeks 2 days pregnant. After 8 days in the NICU, he was able to come home with us. He is doing great at home, nursing like a champ and bessing our family with his calm disposition. As you can see from my avi, he is still small. We are hoping that he will finally be back up to his birthweight at his next pedi appt. later this week.

8 days seemed like an eternity to me. Thankfully, my c-section kept me in the hospital for 4 days and then I was lucky enough to get a hospitality room, so I was at the hospital the entire time he was there. I only had 3 nights left, so I am thankful that he was released before my time ran out. Also, I got two rounds of the steroids for lung development in January so he never needed any assistance with breathing. In fact, he was in an open bassinet from day one.

Now, I am just looking for some weight gain. I have a whole newborn stash three years in the making, and so far, nothing fits his skinny legs. I have tried a few things during the day, but nothing that I feel comfortable with using full time just yet.
