I have ha four cs and I still have numb spots from my first almost 10 years ago. It's seems I end up with a new patch of numb skin each time. What's starve is the it's only superficial, I can feel it underneath the skin.

this is absolutely how mine feels but i hadn't been able to figure out to describe it-but this is it! it's weird, but supposedly normal for all my dr.googling (and asking a real doc and supposedly feeling may return...some day..? i just don't like my scar area (and about one inch all the way around it) touched for now.

I'm about 6.5 months out from my c-section and am starting to get some feeling back around the scar area.

It's been almost 2 years since my last c/s and I still have a lot of numbness between my scar and belly button. The discomfort/weirdness from exercise is mostly gone now.

And lately I have felt like someone rubbed icy hot on the incision area. Not pain, just odd. I am wondering if almost 2 years later the nerves are starting to heal.

Re: Numbness 5 months after c-section???

I had numbness after my first c/s that never went away. I have areas that are even a little more numb than others after my second c/s. The numbness is pretty normal. I'm not sure about the pain and darkening. I'd call the doctor/nurse to check on that.

Re: Numbness 5 months after c-section???

I see this message is "old" but adding my .02 to help others. I had my most recent c-section 4 years ago and I have a big spot across the middle of my belly (under belly button, but above pubic area) that is STILL numb. =( I don't really notice it- unless I touch it- there's a weird pressure I can feel- but it's numb. It's a strange feeling and unfortunately I think it's just forever going to remain numb.

My next baby is kicking now, and my scar still has numb spots, but when baby kicks right behind the numb spots, it sort of tickles.

Re: Numbness 5 months after c-section???

4 months after c section, my scar is still tender, and the area around the scar is numb. Ive been waiting to feel normal again. So glad to have come across this thread and know that it's not abnormal.
