Re: Retained Placenta

I retained a piece of placenta that passed about 8-9 days pp. It was bigger than a golf ball, rubbery, meaty and was dark red with a blueish tinge to it, if that makes sense. It kind of reminded me of a piece of liver (ew!)

Re: Retained Placenta

Hmmm... I'm about 9 weeks postpartum, having what I think is my first period, and had a weird clot sort of thing last night. It kind of looked like a blood clot but had a definite shape. It was squishy but don't clots usually have kind of a "snot" texture and consistency? They can be pulled apart easily? This wasn't like that but I'm not sure I'd describe it as "meaty" either.

Sorry for the super gross post lol.

PP I had clots like what you're talking about, up to the size of a small plum. They were kind of like jello and haven't looked at grape jello the same way since.
