Medical Moms: tell me about your hospital's day care

I want to hear about your experiences with daycare at your hospital. Do they have it? What are the hours? Anything available when you are on-call?

Wow, I haven't heard of anything like this. It sounds like a very helpful benefit.

I have only worked in one hospital with on site daycare I think (maybe 2). But it was before I had any children so I dont have any personal experience with it. It seemed like a great idea, especially for nursing mothers to come down and nurse instead of going somewhere to pump.

Re: Medical Moms: tell me about your hospital's day care

I've worked at 2 hospitals and neither had a daycare for employees. I've heard this exists but it's just a pipe dream for me. lol
Now one of the hospitals did have a "sick kid daycare" that you could use if your child had a fever or a cold or something and you would have otherwise called in sick to stay home with them. There was a nurse staffed in there but you couldn't use it if your child was vomiting.
