This is a PUL allergy, right?

Had taken a month or so break from cloth due to continuous rashes on DD. I stripped an bleached and rinsed the heck out I them. Yesterday I put only BG pockets o. Her. By the 4th diaper she had a rash. She also has chunky thighs and it rubbed a rash on her leg. Still has it some today. Thoughts?

we have taken a break from cloth a couple times and for some reason every time we go back to cloth ds gets a rash for about the first day or so and then it goes away...not sure if its the same kind of rash or not but it is weird!

How did you strip them? What type of detergent do you use and how much? Do you wash in HOT water?

Well do you only have PUL options? For my DS he does best if I alternate between PUL and wool. I don't know that it is an allergy per say but I think he gets too warm and such. Either way he doesn't tolerate back to back PUL diapers well.

My DS2 also did much better with wool. I ended up switching when he was around 8 months old.

my DS is allergic to the microfiber in BG...not the PUL itself (as he can wear other covers)

Was it all over or just the rubbed areas?

No necessarily. Where is the rash exactly? Also, it could be detergent or an additive.

Why can't cloth diapering be simple? The rash was where her thigh rubbed against the diaper and all over her whole front. (she is a tummy sleeper)
I did wash in hot water and rinsed in hot. I stripped in dawn then soaked in bleach. Then did like 10 hot washes with no detergent. DD is six months old.... And sometimes I don't think this is worth it.

Re: This is a PUL allergy, right?

I think if the rash is on her thighs and front, it could be that she needs something more breathable as a cover; PUL doesn't breathe very well, wool or fleece or a Nikky breathable cover will do a better job of letting air flow to her skin. More air flow = less prone to rash. My son can't handle PUL, it doesn't breathe well enough for his sensitive skin. Here's our story:
