Favorite "cheap" diaper for super chunky baby?

I've been trying to find diapers to fit DS3 for months now . He's almost 7 months old, and is already too big for everything we have, and everything we've tried. Large FuzziBunz and BG 4.0s fit him fairly well, but our budget is super tight, and those can get pricey. I'm scared to sell our other diapers, in case he stops his massive growth spurt and fits in them again one day .

So my question... what's your favorite "cheapie" diaper for a baby with plenty of thigh to love? His thighs and belly are super round, so it needs to be gentle. No aplix, because it rubs his muffin top raw. SunBaby, Alva, Go Green, etc... any opinions?

I want to get him back in cloth fulltime! We're using sposies because I only have a day's worth of diapers for now, and I'm so over it !

My munch has pretty chunky thighs and we're having good luck with Kawaii pockets. They are very affordable! I've only been using them a short time so I can't tell you how well they hold up...but I've found them for $8-$14 new with 2 inserts...

Thank! I had some Kawaii covers years ago, and really liked them. I'll have to check the pockets out!

I MEOS! Unfortunately, DH prefers pockets (or Flips, he really likes Flips for some reason) so I'm trying to find a system that he'll be comfortable with, too.

I have one Kawaii, but I prefer Alva. I think the leg elastic is more gentle.

Posting from my iPhone/iPad probably while breastfeeding. Please excuse mistakes.

Tweedlebugs pockets are inexpensive and a very generous cut. They fit on my 4 year old at 35lbs+

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm so excited to get DS3 back into cloth fulltime, and I'm going to try a few of each brand mentioned. I appreciate your help, mamas!
