Fixing snaps

I have a friend who had the snap rip out of her Flip trainer. She's wondering if I could fix it for her since I have a snap pliers. The hole is large enough that you can't just put a new snap there, so I'm wondering what other mamas would do. Should I sew two new layers of pul around the hole and then put the snap through the new pul?

What would you do?

Re: Fixing snaps

yeah, that's what I ended up suggesting to her, since I knew they aren't that old of a product. She bought it as nwot from another mama, so she isn't the direct buyer, but I'm waiting to hear back on if she's able to send it back.

My guess is that they will take it back. If not I would put a small patch of PUL on each side of the diaper, sew it and then put the snap on.

Re: Fixing snaps

I just did this with a similar situation. I added fleece on both sides, then the snap on top. It seems very sturdy now!
