Has anyone tried Bumkins second quality covers? Did they leak?
I am curious if anyone has tried Bumkins second quality covers? Did they leak? Were they useable? What were you impressions of them? I noticed their seconds can be bought from numerous places including their website, but there are very few recent reviews on their products. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Has anyone tried Bumkins second quality covers? Did they leak?
We have been selling a lot of them and no one has complained yet. If you understand that they are not the highest quality then you are good to go. The strangest thing I think about them is that the snap reinforcement is just little scraps of PUL, so the inside looks kind of cheap but the outside is nice and they work, the aplix has super powers!
We've been using ours since Sept and the aplix still looks brand new! They do not leak, they are super silkly soft. I am in love with the pocket diapers, they even fit my 33 pounder well. You can see pictures of them if you go to the albums on my facebook page (link in siggy) of my son in the turtle one, that has a flip organic insert inside it.

Mellisa, thank you so much for taking the time to give me your insight! My main concern was the leaking. Prettiness factor doesn't both me. Thanks again!

Re: Has anyone tried Bumkins second quality covers? Did they leak?
We bought the pockets and all in ones as seconds from
Nickis Diapers whom i really like. The stuff it seems to be better quality than the aios. For some reason the aios have that tounge style insert you can stuff into its pocket, and it just gets all twisted up and weird during washing i gave them away to my sis n law cause i am not a big fan. Also the velcro would curl a little. I like the stuff it diapers though. They work well with no leaks. However, the sewing which holds the velcro on was not properly sewn on. I had my mother in law sew over it all again... The sewing needed to be closure to the edges.

They are very cute though, and they have a more silk-like feel on the outside rather than just the regular pul outside.

Thanks for all the responses! I truly appreciate them! We ended up buying two seconds covers from Nicki's to try out. : )

Re: Has anyone tried Bumkins second quality covers? Did they leak?
Well just to update, I got four Bumkins covers in the mail today and I do not recommend them. On two of them the leg elastic is not sewn all the way into the binding. I think it will fray. And on two of them when putting one of the tops snaps in the diaper, they missed the reinforcement strip that is suppose to be behind the snap, it is just hanging down. I am quite disappointed. Yes they were a deal, but if they aren't going to hold up then IMO they aren't a deal at all. I bought from a place that claimed they'd work just find. I'm not quite sure this is true. Oh well, I guess I learned a lesson.
