prepping bamboo and hemp yardage

Hi! 2 questions about prepping my bamboo and hemp fabrics!

1) is the sanitize cycle on my FL machine safe to use? ie. extra hot water?
2) it is enough to wash on hot 2-3 times, then dry on hot once, or should i wash/dry, wash/dry, etc??

Thanks

I would do the hemp on its own, it tends to have more oil.

Hot water is fine, I use dawn to prep in the first wash to get out the oils. Putting it in the dryer after it's washed will help shrink the fabric.

How many times you do it depends on what stage of prepping you want. For sewing I will do Hemp 2 times and bamboo once, it will get more absorbent with additional washes but I just wait until it's put into diapers to do that.
