I need some new kid friendly meal ideas

I think DDs are getting sick of the usual. DD1 won't eat spaghetti sauce (she likes tomatoes, just not cooked). They're pretty good about veggies in general, except for DS, but he's young, so I'm still trying. What are some of your go-to meals that your kids eat? Ideally, these would be meals for the whole family, not just "kid" food.

My kids like steamed rice, cooked fish (we really like swai for flavor without too much scary involved the kids think its chicken), and steamed veggies. I also have a tomato sauce hater. She doesn't like soups either. So we eat a lot of meat with a plain grain/starch and either raw or steamed veggies. Also when we do pizza (since again tomato sauce) we do one side that is just seasoned with herbs and garlic and cheese. Sortof like half pizza half breadsticks.

Tonight we chowed on slow cooked bbq ribs and homemade fries. Meat was very tender and easily pulled apart.

Ds (21mo) loves beef and broccoli w/ rice

Loves grilled fish with veggies

Plain pasta with chicken or steak

Tacos .. I separate it out for him .. beef chunks, tomatoes, cucumber, tortilla, cheese

Meatballs and bread

Tonight we are having fritata; eggs, cheese and veggies cooked together. You can either fry it for a few minutes in an oven safe pan (cast iron works well) and then toss it in the oven to bake the rest of the way or alternately mix it up and bake it in a casserole dish. I just buy whatever veggies I am in the mood for and usually use shredded Gouda and a little Dijon mustard to season it. You can really play with it. The kids like it pretty well.

Other favorites around here include I leave out the onion and add cauliflower for extra veggies. We actually like quite a few of the recipes at the barilla website. but I do this with basa instead of tilapia, and use feta and mozzarella for better flavor.

My boys really like soups and I am pretty limited on foods I can eat so we stick with fish and vegetarian dishes mostly.

You could try a pasta primavera. Cook noodles of your choice, we usually use penne, and then in a skillet cook veggies (I usually use asparagus, green beans, spinach and carrots) with some oil until they are soft. Add the cooked pasta, meat if you'd like (sausage or keilbasa) and some cheese (parmasean or mozzarella).

We also like home made pizzas, and I do little ones so the kids can put on their own toppings. Potato and veggy casseroles are also a big hit.

Re: I need some new kid friendly meal ideas

My boys are 3 and 18 months. They are both pretty good eaters. One of their favorites is Shepherds Pie -- cook some ground beef (I add black beans to stretch the meat farther), mix with a can of tomato soup, and some green beans, corn, whatever veggies you like. Put that mixture on the bottom of a pan (I use a 9x9 size, but you can make whatever size you need). Put a layer of mashed potatoes on top, and cook till it is heated through. A few minutes before it is done, add some sliced or shredded cheese.
They also both love soup -- split pea with ham, potatoes, and carrots; veggie soup with beef chunks, carrots, potatoes, and cabbage; and chicken noodle with noodles, chicken, celery, and carrots are their favorites. When I make soup I add lots of chunky stuff with less broth -- when I serve them, I don't give them the broth part.
