Anyone use Flips Organics on a Newbie???
Just thinking ahead here.....I love, LOVE my Flips organic trifolds in my AI2s....would love to hear if anyone has used them with a newborn. With our youngest we used GMD orange and then yellow.....thinking the Flips are trimmer and more absorbent......but, then again, would they be pretty bulky on a 7 pounder?? Maybe start with orange edge and then move up to Flips?? I would probably lean towards Thirsties XS or Duo size 1....
We all ready have about 2 dozen Flips....so wouldn't have to buy quite as many prefolds... Any thoughts and pictures would be great.....

They will be bulky. Though maybe not so much if you snappi them??
I used one stuffed in a 4.0 on the lowest setting for nights for awhile and it worked well but was way bulky. my guy is almost 4 months old and probably 14 pounds and they fit much better now.

No pictures but I don't like flip organics until baby is in medium sized covers. They're just too bulky and overkill IMO.

Re: Anyone use Flips Organics on a Newbie???
I am fine with bulk most of the time, but I also find flips too big on a newborn... I just used as burp cloths until he was bigger (maybe 15? lbs)

Re: Anyone use Flips Organics on a Newbie???
Thanks for all of the thoughts! They seem so trim on my 21 pound almost 16 month old......I just couldn't imagine how they would be on a newborn.....I will start out with orange edge or Zabi reds.....

Re: Anyone use Flips Organics on a Newbie???
I can't remember what was under it (either a med flat or a flip organic), but here is a flip at 4 weeks/~9lb. I think organics work fine on the small setting, you'll just have a high rise.
![]() I think you'd be fine starting in nb/orange prefolds, and moving to flip organics after the first 4-6 weeks depending on how your lo grows.
