Sposie Gifts

I didn't have a baby shower so as people trickle in to see DD2 they've brought gifts for her. I guess they don't remember that I cloth diapered DD1 2years ago because I have over 400 gifted sposies. I don't want to offend anyone so I will be donating them to the local pregnancy center.

Re: Sposie Gifts

I really don't think anyone is trying to offend you. Most people think "They have a baby, so they need diapers." And to most people, diapers means sposies. I'm sure your local pregnancy center will be pumped to get them!

Yeah, I have a lot as well. I'm keeping one package of each size just incase, the rest I will probably just sell on Craig's list as I have been slowly piecing my CDing stash off of here and Craigslist.

Our local pregnancy center is always looking for diapers - your donation to your center will be so appreciated!

Re: Sposie Gifts

i just returned anything like that to walmart (diaper creams, sposies, wipes, and jonson products, stuff that we just don't use.), they give you store credit, so we just used it to buy some clothes or toys. i did keep a couple packages of sposies, for just incase.

i don't think it offends anyone, you don't use them, i would perfer someone returned something they wouldn't use for something they would. if i gave someone cloth for a gift and they returned it for sposies i wouldn't be offended.

Well you have two options. REturn to Walmart or Target for gift cards to use online for diapers or pregnancy centers. It happens to me a lot, and that is what I do. :O)

Re: Sposie Gifts

I simply returned what I don't need or use to Walmart or Target or the local baby store, like others said. That way when the baby needs something, I have the gift card to use. I did this with lots of things, baby baths (don't need) and lotions/soaps (don't want to use) and even sheets (we co-sleep). I didn't feel a need to explain, I just thanked the giver for being so thoughtful and headed to the store in a day or two

Not all Walmarts/Targets take diaper returns. I know the two closest to us do not. Donating is a great option!
