Weekend Chat: 3/3-3/4

<<<< Check out my site supporter badge I somehow "won" a 3 month subscription ... not 100% clear on how. But it has something with being a "top poster". Hhehehehe. I have been pretty active here lately between the daily chat threads and obsessing over the ttc1 group!

Anyway... I am beyond tired. BEYOND tired. I feel like I have a horrid horrid horrid hangover because we went to a folklore music show last night and didn't get home until 1. I felt like I was going to die. The music was great though. And then this morning I woke up at 8am. WHY? WHY?

It seems like we've hit the rough stage of the first tri... I don't expect things to pick up much until the second tri.

Re: Weekend Chat: 3/3-3/4

I did the red cabbage gender test this morning. Its the 5th old wives tale/online gender predictor I've done, and its the 5th one to come back saying girl. I almost wish they'd all said boy so I wouldn't get my hopes up for girl and then end up disappointed if its a boy.

This is going to be a looong weekend. DH is working doubles all weekend for the whole month, so he works from 5am-7pm, so its just cranky old me and the boys all day long until about an hour before bedtime. *sigh*

So how far along do you have to be for gender prediction tests?

Did we decide how we are figuring when the 2nd trimester starts... I usually just do the start of week 12. But do we want to do week 13?

Most sites/people consider 13 to be the start of tri 2, and I think What to Expect considers 14 the start of tri 2. Technically speaking 13.3 weeks would be the end of the first trimester, so 13 weeks would be more accurate than 12. If each trimester was only 12 weeks then our pgs would only be 36 weeks long.

Well the first 3 were the chinese gender chart, the biorhythm chart that Sheena posted and an online baby psychic, so you can do those at any time. The 4th was the baking soda test, which I think can be done 8-10 weeks, and then the last one was the cabbage and I heard ranges anywhere from "up to 10 weeks" to "10-16 weeks" so I'm really not sure, but I'm almost 10 weeks, so I pretty much fit into either of those windows. The baking soda and cabbage tests are pretty much the same principle though, they're really just ph tests.

Re: Weekend Chat: 3/3-3/4

I like this calculator... it show the three methods. I vote for the middle one... just because it's the middle, which is gestation (13w3d)... April 4th though seems like eternities from now. I like the way the first one (measured by development) sounds better... March 25th sounds relatively close. It's this month at least!

Re: Weekend Chat: 3/3-3/4

Ok I'm going with 13 weeks 3 days... I don't think I can wait till 14 weeks to say I'm in the 2nd trimester. So that means I have to wait until April 8th and that is so far away...
