What are your son's measurements? I had/have a pudgy boy too. LOL! He is about 8 months old now, and he wears basically all large diapers and large wool. I seem to really like the BumGenius one size pockets on him on the large setting, since the aplix is adjustable, but then again I have not tried really too much with him. LOL! I just stick with the Medium Fuzzi Bunz and Large BumGenius cuz they work pretty well for us. I have heard great things about Prestons pants though, which I'm dying to try now. LOL!

Oh and BTW...if you have a WAHM make you diapers then you can get them specifically made to fit your son. I have some from www.tkcuddlers.com and the mama there made them to fit my son, which is great.

I used Kissaluvs on my ds before he thinned out. They worked well on his chub. Also Mother ease Sandy's. If you do try pf's, I recommend the bikini twist because it gives the most room on the thighs. I prefer front snapping dipes. I tend to pinch ds when snapping side snapping dipes.

I loved prefitteds on my chunka-munka, second DD. As an added bonuse they still fit her when she turned from a chunky baby to a skinny toddler. I made ours, but I know a few WAHMs make them.

SEZ in chubby medium OR skinny large are both GREAT. Actually, I have only tried one of their PUL pockets, but I ADORE the fleece pockets. Can't say enough great things about the fit on DS's chubby thighs. No red marks at all! I also ditto a PP who mentioned bG bamboo fitteds. They're 30% poly, so they have a lovely stretch that gives them great adjustability. I use them with a BP as a cover, but I probably wouldn't recommend that to you, b/c my DS, although chubby, is not as chubby as yours, and he still gets light red marks from them. Maybe try an Imse Vimse soft? And of course pull on wool or longies/shorties would work well!

I just got some Baby Soft Wraps and love them on my 28 lb. 17 month old. The leg elastic is very gentle, which was my biggest issue with most dipes...

My dd isn't overall chunky but has big thighs. I love the few Elbees I have without the gussets. They fit like a dream and are front snap, kinda low rise also. They might work if you could get some.

WOW, what a monster he is!!!! SSOOOOOOOO cute!!!!! I always wanted a chubber. I got the skinny little scrawny babies that people always mistake for younger. Someone just mistook my 2 1/2 year old yesterday for an 18 month old.
