Re: Turkey Babies Chat 3/5-3/12

I work at the Vitamin Shoppe here. I have worked with this industry for about 7 years going on 8. I may have to leave right before my DD because DH is going to Korea and we will probably go with him. I LOVE being a SAHM! I am new to cloth so I DO intend on using AIO's for this little one

This is my 3rd pregnancy at my current job in a matter of 3 years so I'm right there with ya. I won't be telling my boss/co-workers (other than the 2 I like) and they will just see me develope a bump and then people will start talking and someone will finally get the guts to ask me if I'm pregnant and I'll say, "yep!".

Happy Monday to you too! I don't feel pregnant yet either. No sickness, no tiredness, nothing. I am not complaining as I have my hands full with 2 young boys and I'm a WOHM as well. I am still getting up in the mornings (3times/wk) and going to the gym and I want to continue that as long as my body isn't resisting.

I had bad m/s with DS1, from about 6wks until 15wks. What helped me is fizzy sodas and eating a couple crackers even before getting out of bed in the mornings. I tried the sea bands, but they didn't work for me, but you might give them a shot. I also ate a snack every 2hrs and kept a plastic bag with me at all time just in case I got sick.

I haven't scheduled my first doctor's appt. yet. I will call this week or next, I guess I'm just putting it off.

Elaine - thanks for starting the weekly chat again!

Becky - when is your u/s?

Catie - I can see thosebeautiful lines clear as day!
I know about the "fishing for symptoms" part. Except for super dark lines and being yawning a lot I feel fine. This is my first pregnancy ever that I didn't have the worst implantation cramping ever. The other 4 ( 1 "chemical") I cramped really bad even before Af was due. This pregnancy nothing. I am having food aversions though. I don't want to eat anything. Nothing sounds good. I am going to be on edge until I can see/hear baby.

OhhhI CAN'T WAIT for you! SO exciting!!!

Nope, not one thing helps my ms...they have tried phinagren? nothing...I have tried every trick in the book, herbs, you name it...doesn't help. I can't complain though...if that is the only complication, then I am a VERY happy camper!

Re: Turkey Babies Chat 3/5-3/12

Hello All -gonna try ot be more active in the chat threads -

I'm Alyson and have 2 other kidlets - Bailey - going to be 16 years old this Saturday and Jack - will be 2 in April. I'm waiting for my U/S on the 19th to confirm that there is an actual baby with an actual heartbeat in there before being uber excited sonce I had a blighted ovum pregnancy that ended in December (found out the beginning of November - same time as my due date for this baby).

It's so nice to see so many of us already and we're still only in the middle of the due date month (if that makes sense).

Congrats to everyone else - exciting times!!!

this exhaustion in the early weeks is killing me. We went to play group this morning and I had such a hard time running around after my own 2 (2y and 13m) and the girl I babysit (19m). I need a naaaaaaaaap!!

When I first found out I was preggo, I didn't want an u/s but now I kinda do. just to have that bit of reassurance that there really is a baby bean in there with a beating heart.

Re: Turkey Babies Chat 3/5-3/12

I would seem most of the mamas I have seen with bfp's already have lo's.

Question? Are you having a baby shower? My sil and I were chatting about it today. My mil wants to throw her other daughter a shower because "people have been asking."

So do you have subsequent baby showers? I find it a bit tacky, sorry if you don't or have had more than one

My sil has a 6yo, a 3yo, and is in need of bottles and diapers only. My other sil has a 2.5 and 1.5 year old, and I have the 1.5 year old. So there is lots of baby stuff around. She has everything, but diapers, and bottles. Between myself and my 2 sil we have enough shoes/clothing to probably clothe 3 children at once. It really is absurd the amount of stuff we have between us. Lots of hand me downs from other family, new stuff here and there for our lo's- it has added up over the years.

My ds has about 10 pairs of shoes that fit him currently, and about 15-20 per size, and I could go at least 3 weeks without washing his clothes-given only 1 outfit per day.

Re: Turkey Babies Chat 3/5-3/12

definitely not having another shower.

our pastors wife is due any time now with her second and they are throwing her another shower, but not for "stuff". They asked everyone to bring something for her to put in her freezer, either a meal, or cookie dough, or whatever. I thought it was a nice idea, just a little miffed that they are only doing it for her and not everyone else who has had kids recently.
