Eek! Plumbers crack in Alvas!?!

DS appears to be outgrowing the rise of our beloved Alvas! Is there another cd similar w/ just a little more rise?

Needs to be a pocket with suedecloth inner, pul outer, snaps (not aplix) and must have hip snaps. I do not need inserts bc I modify my own and lay them in. Prefer os cds over sized but am open to trying a sized diaper if the fit is right.

my son is about 30lbs and wears 2t/3t clothing.... gets measured and weighed again at his next well-baby visit in a couple weeks. i gave away a couple of our larger cut alvas (the orange from the last co-op were enormous) to a friend to try out but i'm going to see about getting them back at our next playdate since i know her ds is way too skinny to get a good fit in them. i just can't believe ds is outgrowing yet ANOTHER one-size cd! UNBELIEVABLE!!! Lol.

Oh wow, my son is the same size and he is still on the middle snap setting of our regular Alvas. Have you tried the double gussets?

I haven't tried the double gussets (s series) bc I figured those would be best back before he was on solids. Are they longer in the rise? I thought they were the same size just with the added gussets.

I don't have any clean to check for sure, but I think that the rise in the double gussets is about an inch longer than the regular ones. GoGreen claims that they fit to 45 pounds, and I totally believe it. And I know this sounds dumb, but my diapers used to all sag down below his butt, but when I started snapping both waist snaps instead of just the inner one, they stayed up a lot better.

Just remembered to check my thread.

Any chance of a side by side pic? Alva suedecloth, Alva double gusset and a GoGreen? I've never even heard of GoGreen.... specs?

GoGreen and the DG Alvas are exactly the same. GG you just pay more for. I can measure the rise on the DGs if you'd like over the weekend and post on Monday (if I don't have time before). I can also take a photo. I don't have a regular Alva (should be getting one in the next week or so) to add to the mix.

The DGs have an extra row of rise snaps compared to the regulars. I only use the DGs right now.
