The prometrium/progesterone will help your levels no matter how far along you are. I had never taken it before, until he prescribed it to me when I was miscarrying @ 5 wks in December...only I had waited to late to contact them for it to work for me as I was more than just spotting by the time I saw them. But if you're just spotting, you could possibly catch it in time. Don't wait! GL

Re: Spotting :(

Totally NOT trying to be a debbie downer, but I've been on progesterone supps a couple times and 10w was the time to stop taking them. The placenta takes over at that time.

Also, there haven't been any conclusive studies that it actually DOES prevent MC.

I would try to get in and be seen. Spotting in early pregnancy really isn't horribly uncommon- there is a lot more blood volume and it's super easy to accidently break a capillary.... but SCHs aren't horribly uncommon either and it would be nice to know if that's what you were dealing with so you could put your feet up and rest as much as possible.
((hugs)) still sending those sticky vibes your way mama!

Re: Spotting :(

I will pray that everything is fine but just to give you some hope I spotted with my tenth baby that I am now 24 weeks pregnant and have never had it before. Everything is good but I was soooo scared because I had just had my first miscarrage a few months earlier. I am 35 now. I bet everything is fine. My midwife said it was REALLY common. Praying for you I know how scary it is! I think everything is ok. It was only when I wiped too.

Re: Spotting :(

Mama I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I have been dealing with the same thing off and on since Saturday. My dr just said that unless you are having heavy bleeding with cramping, try not to worry. Sheena is exactly right about the progesterone. Lay down as much as you can and make sure you are drinking plenty of water. Maybe you will get an ultrasound at your appt to give you a visual on the hb and put your mind at ease that everything is okay.

Duh! I totally wasn't thinking about the placenta taking over at 10 wks. And OB didn't say it would stop the miscarriage, just that it was possible. everything is ok!
