When you buy used do you smell your diapers?

Just curious.. When you buy off of FSOT or anywhere used, do you smell your diapers? I sometimes do but once I got a very ammonia-ey diaper so now I usually throw them in the diaper pail.

Not stuff my nose in them smell but sniff and then throw directly in the pail.

Yeah, I do but in the end it doesn't matter since I bleach anything I receive that is used.

I've only bought used once and smelled one when I got home and wished I hadn't... Lol they smelled like old hotdogs! Never again...

I do. The first time I thought "Why am I doing this?" As I was going in for the sniff. I couldn't stop my self. I haven't had any smell bad. Thanks goodness.

I do, just because I want to know if they need anything more than a hot (really just warm) wash with 1/4c of bleach, which has been my standard treatment for new used dipes. I bought a large NB stash and a good sized OS stash almost all used and thankfully have yet to run across anything that smelled like anything other than detergent

Yes. I recently got two Sunbaby's off ebay, and I could smell them as soon as I opened the mailbox. Cigarette smoke. Oh - and the best part was they were shipped in a Town House cracker box, that was barely taped shut. I've never seen anything like it! I washed them three times and they still smelled, so I soaked them in oxyclean for a couple days and the smell finally went away.

I just got two lovely minky dipes yesterday, and I smelled those, too. They smelled very, very nice!!!

I do.. most of the time they smell like nothing (MY FAVE!) Sometimes bleach or detergent. I haven't had any officially stinky diapers but I have had some that smelled after being used.. so I now strip all of my diapers when I add new ones to the stash.
