My cure for heartburn
Is coke
I'm really trying to avoid it but it takes away my heartburn instantly! Everything rose I've tried has failed.

Mine is ice cream, lol. I've heard apple cider vinegar shots can help, but I'm not brave enough to try!

Re: My cure for heartburn
Once I hit my 2nd trimester I gave up, and got on Nexium.
![]() It was the best thing that's EVER happened to me. I haven't taken a Tums in over a month, and my heartburn is better than its EVER been (and I've had severe heartburn and reflux since I was 9!) I hate being on medication, but no amount of bland eating paired with Ultra Strength tums, vinegar, sleeping ONLY on the left side, etc. was touching it. Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do! Bottoms up, mama!

Re: My cure for heartburn
Gum has been working for me pretty well. I still take tums before bed since chewing gum isn't so easy when you're asleep.

There are a bunch of mamas in the June DDC who swear by chocolate milk as a cure!

I was waking up 2-3 times a night needing to take antacids, and had to have my pockets fully stocked before leaving the house. I was eating small meals, not eating before bed, staying away from spicy things, and nothing helped. It was awful! Nexium.

Re: My cure for heartburn
coke never helped me
(I wasn't trying it for heartburn, I just love coke, lol). Mamas who use tums have had placentas with calcification, so I don't think that's good! Papaya chews work better than tums, but the past 2 pregnancies, nothing is working. Choc milk works *sometimes* for me, but not the past few nights. I was thinking of trying to sleep in a chair, but I have heartburn almost 24/7, even when I am upright
