Anyone still nursing?

My 20month old is still nursing, just wondering who was in the same boat.

I'm EBF my 7 month old . He nurses on demand, every 1.5-3 hours. I'm hoping he doesn't wean during my pregnancy!

Re: Anyone still nursing?

I'm still nursing my almost 13m old. She is teething, so nursing more than usual, and generally pretty addicted to the boob.

Unless I completely dry up I don't see us weaning any time soon.

Re: Anyone still nursing?

Still nursing my 9mo ds I plan to nurse until he's atleast 1yo. my ds1 weaned himself a little after age 1 yr which was ok b/c I was preggo with my dd and he was biting me all the time. With my dd she weaned herself at 14mos. I am fine if he weans. I have wondered if it's ok to keep nursing I just want to make sure the new baby is getting everything he/she needs. What do you gals think or have been told? Do you know if I should be eating more than normal? He just nurses after meals and before bed and 1-2 times at night. But he's sick and is nursing alot more!

It's fine to nurse while pregnant . Just eat healthy, balanced meals (and snacks), and drink plenty of water... both babies will get what they need.

DS3 just turned 7 months old, and nurses on demand around the clock. He has no set schedule, but nurses every 1.5-3 hours, usually. I plan on nursing until he self-weans, hopefully until at least age 2. My main concern with this pregnancy is that it will change the taste of my milk (fairly common, apparently), and he will self-wean earlier .

I wouldn't worry about that. I've nursed two kids through pregnancies, a third through part of a pregnancy (my milk did dry up that time), and haven't had anyone willingly wean. Of course, my kids don't grasp the concept of weaning. I've had to make them all stop (mind you, the youngest I've ever weaned a kid was a week shy of 3 years old, so it's not like I'm yanking the boob away from a baby). If your LO is attached to the boob, I don't think weaning is likely.

I'm currently nursing my 15-month-old. If history is any indication, she's not going to stop.
