Re: Any home remedies for morning sickness?

Peppermint sticks and hard cinnamon candies were the only things that helped me!

Ginger in concentrated capsule form and salt and vinegar chips. Something about them totally helped my nausea.

I have been there.
Peppermint candies, Jolly Ranchers (or other sour candies) and strong ginger ale helped. Also popsicles.
This time I am taking Unisom and Vit. B6 and it has worked wonders. So if you can find that, and are comfortable taking it...I'd recommend it because it has helped so so much!

Re: Any home remedies for morning sickness?

I've been on 3 different nausea meds in the past 8 weeks and they did nothing, so I started trying everything anyone suggested!

The only two things that have worked are ....

1. Staying hydrated (at least 2 quarts of water a day)
2. Sucking on sour candy. For some reason the sour candy works almost instantly. Lemon sherbet/sorbet and lemonade have worked too, but the candy was most effective.

I've thrown out the meds and stocked up on sour candy and water bottles and I'm doing soooo much better (and I have a 2, 4, 6 year old to chase around!)

The only thing that had worked for me was to go vegan and eats lots of raw fruits veggies and nuts. I typically do raw smoothies (no milk) only for at least a day, transition into raw vegan for a few days, then add cooked vegan foods. After about two weeks I can eat small amounts of meat again. No morning sickness whatsoever in the last two pregnancies I tried this in. Best to do early in the pregnancy!

Re: Any home remedies for morning sickness?

My midwife suggested eating a couple saltine crackers before getting out of bed in the morning and also sucking on Lemonheads candies during the day. Both worked wonders!!
