Yup - I have done this. Seen a cloth diaper peeking from the top of the baby's pants and start going on and on...LOL!

Oh my gosh. I met a mom through doing pageants and she came over to coach my older girls. She said something about nursing her almost three year old and I about kissed her feet, lol! Turns out she cloth diapers, breastfeeds, etc and we talk about all the uncrunchiness of most of the mamas around us! Oh and she's a birth doula too.

I probably scare some people with my obsession with cloth anyway, so if I saw another mom was CDing I would probably just freak.

Re: To The Poor Mama At University Park Mall Today

We were all about one of our local grocery stores a few weeks ago. There was a woman standing at the trunk of her car the whole time we unloaded our groceries and loaded the babies into the car. Then when we drove by her I saw her flash a planetwise wet bag and I was like OMG -- she's changing a diaper back there and it's cloth. DH didn't want to stop the car for me to say hi. Haha!

Re: To The Poor Mama At University Park Mall Today

Before having a baby I did all my cloth diaper research and such online. I don't think I'd seen a CD in person, and was freaking out the first time I saw a mom at the mom group with cloth. Been there, done that! Then I realized that there are more moms who do cloth than not here in our crunchy Pacific NW city. Now it's not as exciting, but nobody that's as into cloth as me.

Funny! Today at the park a woman walked in with a 2 year old and a baby in stroller. She had dreads and a rasta type hat and fed her baby organic food.

After about 20 min. I couldn't help myself and said: I'm sorry for stereotyping here but do you cloth diaper. Then we had a nice convo about cloth (she's a bumgenius fan) and it was nice.

E if you are on here, hi! (I was too afraid to ask if she frequents here)...

Oh, and I asked her how old her daughter was. She said 10 months... and only then did I realize the 2 year old is a boy with long hair. He is a beautiful child!!! I'm proud that I did see a blue shirt as indicating a boy, and at the same time disappointed that long hair indicated a girl to me!

I did that but not with another CD mama but another breastfeeding mama. We was at my daughter music play and her few months old daughter was just supper fussy. Turn out the little ones was hungry. Mom took the baby and wen to the dark parking lot to nurse her. I didn't want her to be alone out there so I came to her and started a conversation with her. I think she would think I'm a weirdo I was just so excited to see a nursing mama in public. I told her that I'm nursing too and my baby was almost three at the time. I don't know if she joint DS or not but if she does," HI ! "
