Absorbancy of GMD WH compared yo PFs?

How does the absorbency of GMD prefolds, when pinned or snappied, compare to WHs?

I've only used orange for both prefolds and wh, but I find the prefolds to be more absorbent. However the wh contain ebf poop better.

My workhorses are awesome absorbency wise. I think my brown workhorses are as absorbent as my red prefolds or more so.

I use them during the day coverless and they are barely damp outside after a pee. I use at night with an extra doubler.

Do you have a heavy night wetter? My DS nurses all night and can wet through two layered sposies.

Also what do you prefer to use? WHs or PFs? I'm planning on using mostly knitted wool covers and am a little intimidated of pinning. My DS is so active and doesn't like to sit still for changes.

they were about the same for us when it came to being coverless bc I change as soon as the outside of the front is wet. with a cover on, prefolds were more absorbent.

I think my workhorses are as absorbant if not more than my prefolds, in fact truth be told, I reach for my workhorses now almost exclusively over my prefolds...I have been thinking of selling them since I just don't use them much anymore.

Not sure, but I think she's an average wetter at night.

I prefer the workhorses with snaps convenience-wise for coverless or wool. Trifolded prefolds in a cover are super quick and easy too though.
