Re: My cure for heartburn

1 teaspoon of baking soda, 1/4 cup of warm water. Stir to combine...chug. Tastes nasty and you will burp like a guy for about 5 min but heartburn is gone. Only thing that has ever worked for me!

I've never taken alka seltzer but I imagine this is much cheaper. lol

alka seltzer has aspirin and citric acid in it also. not sure if that matters to some people but if you don't want the extras the baking soda and water works really well.

Vanilla ice cream is what I did too! 1 Tblsp and I was good to go. Lasted way longer than tums and it was instant relief!
