Does anyone use Regular 4-6-4 Prefolds for Burp Cloths?
Would these work well, or would they be too thick? Would 2-5-2 from nickisdiapers.com be better? Any opinions? I need to get some orders placed and I cannot figure out what to buy! I used to use preemies, but I think I want something larger than that.

I use Gerber "diaper burp cloths"- they are the size of a regular and something close to 2x5x2 so maybe the ones you are looking at are similar. They are not twill though- something more flexible and they are prints. They work great. I also use Gerber flats for burp rags and like them too.
I prefer something larger and thinner as opposed to small and thick. Anything smaller than a reg prefold would be hard to keep on my shoulder. |

I use premium sized prefolds from Cottonbabies which I believe are 4-8-4. They work great! Plus they are huge, which I like.

I used our infant PFs as burp cloths etc, they were very versatile!

Yep I used the infant 4x6x4 for my DD. She really tested them out, and they hold soo much! Saved my outfit countless times.

Re: Does anyone use Regular 4-6-4 Prefolds for Burp Cloths?
When my dd was born in 2004 we purchased a big stack of 4 doz. infant 4x6x4 prefolds (not the regulars) as our entire "stash". They were SO versatile: we used them in fastened in covers, as pocket inserts as she got older and YES definitely as burp cloths (and changing pads). The 4x6x4 thickness would probably be perfect for that

Yup we go through the prefolds like crazy since I have a reflux baby. I had to quit depending on them as diapers.

Re: Does anyone use Regular 4-6-4 Prefolds for Burp Cloths?
Thanks mamas! Now could one of you please make up my mind on which specific one to buy? LOL. I wish nickisdiapers.com had a lower free shipping amount. I have to spend 75 there to get free shipping, but at cottonbabies.com I can order any amount and still get free shipping. They have the 4-6-4 regulars, but not any of the thinner 2-5-2 ones.

Re: Does anyone use Regular 4-6-4 Prefolds for Burp Cloths?
My baby had reflux so I needed the 4x6x4. He couldn't be moved without everything coming up. If your baby doesn't spit that much then you could go for something lighter. I even made some burb clothes with a hemp fleece inner and a bamboo outer. I would pin them to my shirt because I always needed one on my shoulder.LOL
