ISO: Simple recipes w/ ground beef!

I have a TON of ground beef (10+ lbs) and I need simple recipes to use it up. Its frozen in 1 lb increments. Since we are short on food, and have tons of beef, I need to use it up!

Any ideas???

I would season a bit like mexican style. You can make taco's, taco salad, taco soup, ect. All very easily.

Also I freeze some as ready made hamberger patties. Just thaw and grill or cook with some gravy.

My kids when they were young liked just browned burger on top of mashed potatoes.

Shepards pie is also good.

Ground beef
bag of mixed veggies
can or 2 of tomato soup or gravy
mashed potatoes (instant or real doesn't matter)
Layer in this order and bake at 350 for about 40 min.

Not sure how simple you're going for, but I got several recipes on the "Beef, It's What's For Dinner" website.

Re: ISO: Simple recipes w/ ground beef!

Sorry this is not exact it is off the top of my head.

Shepards Pie

1 onion finely chopped
1 finely chopped garlic
1 lb of beef ground (I use turkey)
1 can of peas (or you can use frozen equivalent)
1 can of corn (or you can use frozen equivalent)
1/2 cup ketchup (more or less to taste)
3 -4 cups of left over mashed potatoes.

Saute the onions in olive oil. Add garlic when onions are almost translucent, then add ground beef. Brown and break down finely.Drain out juices and add ketchup to taste. Turn off heat. Add corn and peas. Pour into casserole dish. Top with mashed potatoes and cheese. Serve with finely chopped green onions as garnish. Almost every kid that has come for dinner has loved this and had seconds Bake in oven at 350 til heated through.

Enjoy!

simple & cheap....if you're up for it!

ground beef..season w/ fav seasonings, cook w/ onion, throw in a packet of mushroom gravy, or brown gravy...gives it a really good flavor. Mix in with pot of cooked rice...and if you want a veggie in there we put canned green beens ...sounds weird but sometimes i throw a veggie so ds gets his veggie for dinner...or cook a veggie on the side.

it's kind of like dirty rice, but different flavor.

You could do meatloaf (mmmm leftover meatloaf sandwich), meatballs (can be eaten alone with bbq sauce with rice and corn sides or ontop of pasta), swedish meatballs in alfredo mushroom sauce, you can put cooked meat into mac'n'cheese and spaghetti sauce, hamburgers and tacos like all ready mentioned
