Kirkland Signature detergent from Costco?

I have a giant case of Kirkland Signature detergent from Costco, which Consumer Reports and my mother say is the equivalent of Tide. I've read a lot of CD'ing mamas say they use Tide on their dipes with no problems. Has anyone used the Costco brand? Was it okay?

For the record: we have average water hardness, a top loader, and the detergent is powder. My stash is mostly PFs and covers, though I may experiment with fancy BGs and pockets as DD gets bigger.

TIA!

Me! I use it- middle of the road water. A mixed stash of pockets, inserts and covers. Works great!

I would definitely go ahead and use it! I now use whatever I find on sale and can get a good deal on. I range from Tide, kirkland,Gain, Sunlight and have never had trouble with any of them. I think their formulas are really not that different!

I've used it and it caused major repelling issues for me. Took forever to get that stuff out. But I have hard water so that may be why.

Just to clarify

Top loader and powder version here too! Use up to line 2 if a big load. I always do a second rinse- so far ... Thumbs up!

We used to use Kirkland Signature Free & Clear liquid in our top loader with hard water. No problems with absorbency or cleanliness. However, we did just recently switch to All and we are liking it better... its scent is milder.

It sounds like it is worth a try, but to be on the safe side, I would do several extra rinses. A lot of it depends on your water and how sensitive your kid's butt is!

Re: Kirkland Signature detergent from Costco?

I used the Costco Kirkland detergent in our Front Loader and I think it did cause repelling for us after a few uses. I know I stopped using it after we started having some leak issues, and the leak issues went away when I went back to Tide Free and Gentle.

Re: Kirkland Signature detergent from Costco?

I'm using it now b/c it's what we have on hand, but I definitely think it doesn't do as well as Tide. I had to do a full wash without detergent on my last load after my normal routine to get it to smell clean.
