Re: If you were full-term and started losing your mucous plug before labor..

With my 2 nd at 41.5 weeks I had the bloody mucous plug around 1 pm, first contraction around 3 pm and was in labor with regular contractions by 6 pm. Of course she wasn't born until about 33 hours later but labor still started very shortly after. With number 3 though I lost bloody mucous plug on a Tuesday at 38 ish weeks and was induced a week later at just over 39 weeks.

With my first, I was laboring all day (didn't know it, just had a bad back ache) and lost it around 10 pm that night, water broke about an hour and a half after and then went into full blown labour. With my second, well I wasn't full term, but lost my plug at 32 weeks, and had a scheduled section at 38w 5d. I'm 35 weeks now and haven't lost it yet.

Baby 1- membranes swept and dislodged plug at 3pm, labour 12am, born 6am
baby 2- lost plug 8am, labour 2pm, born 8pm.
baby 3- lost plug 7am, labour 7:30, born 9:25

So for me, streaky plug= baby same day! LOL.
