What does your baby sleep in... winter

I have decided that I hate the newborn sleep and plays with snaps up the leg and body (takes too long to resnap in the wee hours)... and nasty polyester... however I cannot find newborn jammies that look warm that zip or are gowns that aren't that itchy polyester...

Please share what works for you! Thanks!

What about cotton sleepers? Carter's makes some that zip.

Wool is also nice and warm. We use Woolybottoms footies with a long sleeve onsie or tshirt.

I cover DD with either a blanket or a sleep sack. This one is cotton, so no polyester

You could get a wool one too, but I always find my DD is warm enough with either the wool or zip sleeper underneath depending on the night

I agree! I hate that yucky feeling of some Pj's. DS wears a long sleeve onsie, socks, cotton footed PJ's that zip, and a fleece sleep sack. I feel like at least this way the fleece isn't right against his skin.

DD (21mths now) was born in June. DS (2 mths now) was born in January. Both lived (ds still does) in gowns. Love the gowns! And a pair of socks and a blanket if it is cold.

Like this (ds)

Poppy slept for 10mo in halo cotton sleep sacks w/ a longsleeve onsie. She is a pretty a pretty hot sweaty baby and I wish I could have had a wool one to help regulate her temps.

I love my grobag. But keep in mind soon your baby will stop pooping at night so you won't need to change him/her

I wanted to try making some for my November baby, but ran out of time before she was born. I don't think they'd be too hard to sew.

Mine all wore blanket sleepers but we keep our house cool/cold at night because it's been suggested that it helps prevent SIDS.
