I just had a growth scan yesterday (I have GD) and the ultrasound came back normal, baby is doing great, the only concern was that the amniotic fluid is a bit low, but still within normal range. Is there anything I can do to help increase it? My MW mentioned just trying to drink more water to ensure baby is peeing and all that, anything else? I only have 3.5 weeks before my c-section, but don't want it to go any lower.

They say you can't BUT you can, I did. I had low fluid and was told here on ds to drink LOTS of water and I did, all day every day and my next appt I went to it had gone up and kept going up until there was no longer an issue of low fluid. You can do it, just drink a lot of water.

You absolutely can replenish amniotic fluid. Drink, DRINK, DRINK!!! I'm talking like 80-100oz a day. Your amniotic fluid rebuilds itself every few days anyway. So drinking water is the best was to increase your fluid!!

Alkalizing your water will help your body absorb it. Easy way is fresh lemon juice
