I am aware that there are many "fake" ones out there and just wondering if anyone knows if the ones from "Mon Petit Mardi" are genuine and good to buy?

We have 2 of these and they work great. We did the sal****er test and it passed. :-)

Some of the big brands had possible fakes sneak by too. So you never know but good customer service should help. The best test I have heard is to put a a little bit of nail polish remover on the bead, it is gets tacky or smells of plastic it's obviously bad. Good amber will not react at all.
