He will only sleep if swaddled
My baby boy will only sleep if swaddled. His twin sister doesnt have to be swaddled. They are now sleeping all night which is good, but he is getting too big for his swaddle blanket. I bought a bigger on that i ordered online but its so thick I think he is going to be too hot. What do I do. They are almost 7 months but was born early so they are almost 4 months really.

I used Aden+Anias muslin swaddles for Poppy until 10mo. How big is your LO?

I used a swaddleme until mine was 9 months, then she went to a sleep sack. She made the transition pretty seamlessly.
The swaddleme ended up being on the bottom half for awhile (which is why it lasted so long) once she wanted her arms free. I know plenty of moms who swaddled until a year old - give him whatever he needs to sleep!!

Re: He will only sleep if swaddled
Yeah I was going to say try the aden and anias(sp?) But I have a thin blanket from Tickety Bu. It is bamboo, and BIG. Works great.

I second the muslin swaddle blankets. DD was the same for the longest time; they worked the best!

Re: He will only sleep if swaddled
I agree a muslin swaddle blanket works wonders for us. I have a long 8month old and he has tons of wiggle room in his swaddle.

Re: He will only sleep if swaddled
You can also just leave them naked other than the diaper under the swaddle blanket. My 2 year old still likes that 'surrounded' feeling, although we obviously don't still swaddle...
