Early PLing...

Dd is 18 months old and tskng a great interest in the idea of the potty.

For early attempts at pling is it better at rewarding (celebrating, possibly bribing, whatever we end up doing) for being dry or for actually going in the potty?

Apologizing in advance for iPhone typos/autocorrect

Re: Early PLing...

Going in the potty...that is the goal. If there are accidents or pottying in her pants on purpose she may not be ready and you don't want her to feel bad about either. Congratulations in the form of clapping or a hug are great when she goes in the potty! I personally think that rewarding of any other kind makes it a little tricky. Once you add say candy for going it could easily turn into a struggle for the candy. Focus on the potty I say!! Good luck its a big step
