May babies 3/26-4/1

Wow, April starts Sunday!!! It's getting pretty close now! (and as a reminder, Easter Sunday is 2 weeks from now, April 8th)

Where has the time gone? This weekend flew by for me, and I feel like it can't be that close to baby time, yet i also kinda feel like i've been pregnant forever too

On that note- What is everyone planning to do for birth control after the babies come? Is this baby planned to be your last? If not, how long do you plan to wait for another?

I'll be breastfeeding, but it's not 100% effective so I guess we'll be using condoms or withdraw along with noting cm for signs of returning fertility. DH was suppose to get the V after #3...but didn't...and now, he's set to deploy about 6 months after the baby is born so we're not sure with all the training leading up to it if he'll be able to have the procedure. I used Mirena for 3 months last year, but it was awful for me and had terrible side effects so i had it removed last February.

I'll be using BC until DH gets the V, but I don't know what or when I'll start using it. I guess we should start looking at that process, too. I'm sure he'll have to go to a urologist and whatnot. He has Vantage, so everything has to be preauthorized.

DH is frothing at the mouth to get snipped. No more babies for this man!

I went on BCP after DD was born for about a year, then nothing so my cycle would return to TTC this one. Withdrawal worked for us during those 9 months, I got pg first month we were actively trying. But, I'm not comfortable with that method long term since we only want 2. DH has no interest in a V, I'm thinking about a fem cap, then maybe essure after a few years just to make sure we don't want any more.

No medical insurance here so we will be saving up to get the big V..we are done...Will use condoms in the meantime. It's what we have used since having our first 7 years ago and they aren't our faves, but they work well and neither of us are comfortable with any other methods...

15 more days of meds/bedrest for me, seems so close and so far away...

Easter only 2 weeks away....crazy! And then it's pretty much baby time, any time! DH's birthday is the 18th and I'm hoping that the baby can not come right around then....I would like to do something semi-fun for him and would hate to be in labor or something. Plus, I would rather DS's birthday not be super close to DH's birthday, because I don't want DH's birthday to disappear.

We will probably go back to withdrawal method and condoms. We haven't talked about it though. I was fine with withdrawal since the girls were born, because if we got pregnant I would have been happy, but after DS comes I think I will want to be SURE not to get pregnant at least for quite awhile. With the stress of this pregnancy I don't think I will want to ever be pregnant again, although I would still dearly love to adopt in the future.

Got all my thank you notes written last night and this morning...YAY!

I had mirena after dd and will never be doing that again, probably just breastfeeding & condoms - I don't really care if we have an 'oops' but would really rather bf normally to a year at least before having to deal with pregnancy and possibly dropped supply. Dp keeps hinting that he is done now after originally agreeing to 3 so we will see - this isn't going to be my last baby - I don't care if it takes him a few years to agree, I am only 22 (turning 23) right now.

I feel like i missed a ton bc i was gone, read through last weeks so hopefully im not too out of the loop.

I dont really know what we will use. with both of the girls i bf then did the mini pill, but since i only breast fed for a couple of months it was kinda wierd. After dd1 stoped i went to regular bc which i got pregnant and miscarried on, then we tried for dd2 had her and just used condoms, spermicid, pull out....whatever really. we miscarried again then tried for this one. I wish i could get a good grasp on my body so we could do it by going off my body. Im not closed to the idea of a 4th, actually i refuse to do anything perment bc i still feel young and im not sure im done. dh says after 4 he will get the v so i kinda feel like if it happened it happened. I would like to wait about 2 years though bc this pregnancy took alot out of me. im so up in the air! i will do the mini pill but i dont like myself on regular bc. What is the fem cap?

afm im exhausted!! my legs hurt from all of the walking i did. Also i was having some horrible bh the whole time, made it kinda hard to walk. overall i had a blast just wish my pregnant body would have been nicer to me. We did alot though including getting a couple of maternity pics done just at a park. I hope they turned out nice. my dh and i havent really been connected lately so as a suprise my cousin babysat and i took him somewhere neither of us had been, Dave and Busters! it was so much fun!!! great memory with him and nice for us to do something diffrent together. Hes been in such a great mood since.

Can not believe its getting close. I have 8 weeks left on wednesday!! im freeking out and im not nearly as close as some of you who have 15 days till you can have it...crazy! Glad we've been able to keep the babies baking!

For now my plan is to use the mini pill until either I get an iud or dh gets snipped. I used to usethe nuva ring prior to ttc ds and I liked it a lot but I can't use it while bfing. I've also heard a lot of bad things about Mirena but I'll talk to the MW's about my options. DH really wants to get a V though, says he's done after 2 kids, but I just feel like we are a little young for anything permanent, we are 28. Besides, I think I would be ok with 3 kids.

afm - I had an appt this morning and everything is good. Next week is my GBS test, any advice? I have to start going once a week now that we are on the home stretch, it's going to be really annoying.
