3 days of 104 plus fever...

And the doctors just say to give him ibuprofen or pracacetemol unless it hits 105.8.

The past 3 days he is fluctuating as high as 104.8. The poor kid feels aweful.

He does not eat, hardly drinks, cries non stop and wants to nurse literally nonstop, I am not sure how much milk I still have or if its more for comfort.

Is this a normal response. It seems high to me.

Is there anything else we should do?

If it makes you any better, I literally just got back from the Dr. With my son. I literally could have written your post. Ears, throat, chest all clear. The rest of the family just got over a stomach bug, he says it is just manifesting differently in him. We were told to give Ibuprophen and tylenol every 6 ours alternating....so basically he gets SOMETHING every three hours. It's horrible. He is miserable and has been up the past three nights. HAng in there mama!

I could have written this post last week. If the doctor has done tests (I am assuming they have) to check for common infections and they are confident he doesn't need antibiotics, that is really all you can do.

He drops down and back up in between each dosage, averaging 40 to 40.5 celcius, 104 to 104.8 farenheit

Re: 3 days of 104 plus fever...

A fever that high would have me at the ER especially after 3 days and OTC meds were not working.
