Re: Help! I need a daycare diaper!

We use BGE's, but DD is outgrowing them a little sooner than I expected. I ordered some Grovia AI2's, but I need to play with them at home to make sure we have the absorbancy we need. What the heck is with the aplix? It's so.....strong. Please tell me it relaxes a little. I might pull a muscle.

Re: Help! I need a daycare diaper!

My DD has chubby legs and thighs as well and BGEs fit her horribly, I love the diapers but they don't fit her well at all. They leave marks on both her tummy and thighs and now that we are on the largest rise setting the top always curls in. I just sold most of mine off. I just ordered some Peachy Green aios that I'm so excited to try and I have some Bottobumpers here that I love......I have snaps but they come in aplix. I also like our Grovia ai2's, noth snaps and aplix.

Do you have the sized or one size Bottombumpers?

Re: Help! I need a daycare diaper!

I retried Flips (I kept a few) on Lily this morning before I sent her to my Mom's, and the fit still is just a little wonky on her. I think they would work, but she is still in between snap settings. I'm sure I could solve that by using aplix, but I'm not sure if I want to invest $25 a pop for an aplix AIO that I know is going to wear out. And that she'll probably start taking off because that is just how this child is! So I think BGEs are out for us. Sigh. I wish they would work. I love BumGenius!

I think I might try Bottombumpers. The only thing I'm leery of is I tried them with my last dd and hated how the cotton inner rolled out....seems like that would be lots of leaks with childcare.

I was going to suggest BGs also. I am partial to snaps too.
Whatever you decide, I hope you and your babysitters love it!

Re: Help! I need a daycare diaper!

We used the GroVia AI2s until ds outgrew them. DCP loved the velcro and I liked that I could separate the cover and the insert because the velcro covers last longer if they are line dried. We also love BGEs, but DCP REALLY loved the velcro.

We love our Nana's Bottoms. You can choose snaps or aplix (hers is the strongest I've ever had), any type of soaker you like-sherpa, birdseye cotton, hemp, bamboo and any type of inner (stay dry suedecloth, birdseye cotton, bamboo velour, flannel). She always has a sale code on her site, too. A 3 pack is around $30 with her sale code, I believe. She will customize the fit too--add a crossover tab, higher rise, etc. I like my all birdseye cotton ones with a pocket so I can up absorbency as needed.
