Inconsistent movement at 21 weeks?

This is baby #5 and I am experiencing inconsistent movements. I have a semi anterior placenta but I cannot help but be freaked out by this. I feel movement although not kicks more a swimming sensation but nothing predictable, anyone experiencing something similar?

Re: Inconsistent movement at 21 weeks?

I'm a few weeks ahead, but even w/ 2 & a posterior & mostly posterior placenta, movement wasn't consistent at 21 wks. I think I started getting kicks at 17-18 wks but they were really unpleasant karate kicks...then it slowed down a bit around 20-21 wks, primarily b/c of positioning, I think. It's now picked up again, some kicks (not as hard as before) & some rolling, swimming movement. Mine seem to have a schedule already--one is very active morning & afternoon, the other afternoon & evening. I wouldn't think it's a concern unless there are extended periods w/o movement, KWIM? You might just have one that's more still during the day, then dances the mambo all night while you're sleeping.

DDC, my doc said not to even think about the movement until closer to 28 weeks. They just aren't big enough to make an impact on you. Especially if you have other ones at home that distract you

I have an anterior placenta as well and I can go a whole day without feeling movement. It freaks me out!

Hi, I'm 21 weeks as well and I only feel her every so often. Not all the time. This is my first pregnancy though. I hope you start feeling the baby soon, I worry a little sometimes too.
