I am so glad that I'm not the only one doing this -- My DD is 4yo, and doesn't spit. Thanks for all the suggestions, ladies!

My dd is 3.5 and still only spits half the time..it drives me nuts..I don't want to switch toothpastes until she reliably doesn't swallow the gunk.
