Re: Seriously?

I got breastfeeding gifts from the hospital. The best things were some small breast milk storage containers, lanolin ointment, information packets, and multiple flyers for the hospital breastfeeding hotline. Now if only they would stop including the big thing of formula...i gave it away though I guess some people must want it.

Re: Seriously?

My favorite are the samples that specifically say..."for breastfeeding mothers," and it is FORMULA!!! I just want to call Enfamil and say, "duh!"

I realize that breast feeding doesn't always work out, but I was hoping the bag would contain SOMETHING bf'ing related, you know?

I'm trying to be as positive and successful with it as possible, so, I didn't keep the bag. If worst comes to worst and I need formula we can go buy it but I want to walk in with a very pro breast feeding mindset.

Re: Seriously?

I got lots of it and stored it just in case. What if something suddenly happened to me and there was no milk in the freezer? As it got close to expiration, I donated it. My fave donation was at a yarn store where it got me extra drawings for percentages off my purchase.

Re: Seriously?

B****** isn't big money for the companies that are giving the hospitals the freebies. Kudos to the hospitals that include any breast feeding stuff in their sample bags.

My hospital just gave a big fluffy bathrobe- no formula or bags or anything.

Re: Seriously?

You can always give the formula to someone who needs it. Formula is expensive- go ahead and donate it!
