My 6 yr old cracks me up.

Little bit of a backstory... my six yr old recently got a digital watch. He LOVES that he can tell time now. If we need to go somewhere he's constantly asking me what time we need to leave, and feels the need to remind me because he's so afraid we'll be running late. He'll even ask me before going outside to play, what time I want him to come in (great huh?).

So tonight DH and had a date night (first one in so long that I can't remember the last time we went out to dinner without kiddos).

Well my upstairs neighbor babysat for me.

She told me that 7:05 he told her "It's time for us to watch night-night shows. We watch night-night shows at 7:00, and it's 7:05, we're late."

Then when 8:00 rolled around he told her it was their bed time and every 5 minutes he was very concerned that it was bedtime and they were going to be going to bed late. LOL

Oh, and when he first got the watch, he felt the need to give me a minute-by-minute-by-minute update on the time change.

It's just a cheap plastic watch. So we've decided that for his birthday in June we're going to get him a better watch. His main complaint about this one is that it doesn't have "the glow light to see in the dark." LOL

He's just so funny that he's so worried about things being late. But hey, guess what.... I've spent the last two weeks actually getting out the door on time for appointments!!! So, guess it's not too bad.

That's cute. I've been wanting to get my 7yo a watch, but knowing her she'd just play with it all the time and loose it without ever actually using it see when she's supposed to come home from her friends house.

He's very serious about keeping time. LOL

The other day he asked when he could have a snack. I told him at 2:00. At 2:01 he complained that his snack was late. LOL

Sounds like my DD. She drives me nuts! Will inform me dinner is late...she thinks dinner is at 5pm. Why I don't know. I shoot for 5:30pm and I am lucky if ex has it done by 6pm on his days. Bed time If she is being extra tired I will move up and she will have a cow if she sees the time. Then I have to explain to her why. The days her clock is out of batteries, I love!
