Babycarriers
What is your favorite baby carrier for everyday? I really want to try the cloth ones instead of the bulky chicco-type carriers. I have twin toddlers at home and I am sure I will need to carry this baby a lot just to keep up with the girls. Especially with summer coming, I want to just have the baby tight on my chest so I can go out for walks and look after my garden. So I need something light and made with breathable fabric.

Re: Babycarriers
Well I love my wraps. For summer my favorite is my Vatanai wrap.
If the long fabric isn't your style I also really love wraps that have been converted into ring slings. Quick up and downs for baby, and honestly my go to carrier for babies under about 6 months old.

There are gauze wraps that are thin and breathable, similar to a moby but gauze material.

Re: Babycarriers
Moby. Babyhawk. For more structure, ergo. Don't touch Chicco or Baby Bjoern, they do not place the baby right (forward facing infant aka crotch dangler yikes or the baby faces mom but the legs hang down when they should embrace mom's waist).

Re: Babycarriers
I'm a wrapper and think woven wraps are wonderful for newborn to preschooler. They come in many different fabric types and thicknesses. There is a lot of variety. Didymos is my favorite brand. Visit thebabywearer.com and sign up for the forums. An overwhelming wealth of info there.
The best thing about a wrap for me is that they are truly hands free. You can wrap baby upright on your chest, tuck their little head in and chase your toddlers knowing baby is safely snuggled in.

Re: Babycarriers
I LOVE my Ergo, best baby gear I ever bought. For this one though I'm ging to use this link http://thecraftymamablog.blogspot.co...baby-ktan.html to make one of these for the early, tiny little baby stage. It just seems more snug and cuddly for a newborn.

I have a Moby like custom wrap and a Babyhawk and I really like them both. They suit all my needs.

Re: Babycarriers
I love my moby wrap for the first couple of months, then switch to a babyhawk.
I've tried just about everything and those are my 2 stand-bys. I have never tried woven wraps, only because they intimidate me, lol.

Another wrapper here. I tried all sorts of carriers with my oldest daughter because I was trying to keep up with my super active 3 year old son. Wraps were the most secure and comfortable so I didnt look back. I do have a wrap conversion ring sling this time for quick trips or social settings like church. I dont bother with gauze or moby's because I dont find them as supportive especially with my big babies. My youngest was 20 lbs by 6 months so it just would have hurt my back to have a non-woven with her.
