What time does SO get home?

If your DH works a normal job, ie not shift-work, what time does he walk in the door?

Mine works a 9-5 job, he leaves around 8:15am which is pretty late really, I know, and he gets home around 6:30pm. He usually works late and it is starting to annoy me! Only because it means that I am getting 3 kids bathed and dressed and dinner made and the house tidied from about 5pm, it can be pretty stressful! I guess I would just like it if he could get home a little earlier to play with the kids while I finish off dinner. Otherwise we eat far too late and the kids are starving, cranky and won't settle well for bed.

If he is in town he leaves house at 6am usually. Home after 6.

But he travels 3/4 of the year now. It devastates me. that's weeks or months, not just weekdays.

My DH leaves at about 7:30 and gets home after 6:00, and I hate it too. Especially since he goes out to lunch with friends everyday and whenever I call him he's 'just chatting' with coworkers...

DH usually leaves at around 6am and gets home around 430, m-f. Sometimes later if he has a big project going on. His commute is 45 min each way.

DH leaves at 10:15 am, gets home at 7:15 pm. Everyone is so cranky for that last hour before he gets home that by the time he walks through the door I just want to lock myself in the bathroom alone and drink, ha.

Re: What time does SO get home?

DH leaves about 6am and gets home around 6pm. Every other Friday he gets off at 12pm so he's usually home by around 1pm unless he has errands or something else he needs/wants to do.

Yeah, I would find that REALLY hard. Then again, maybe it would be good for our marriage because I'd appreciate him more! Whenever I complain my mother always says, just be thankful he is just out working and not going to the bar every day after work! And that he actually takes an interest in the kids and helping out. Which I do realise I am lucky... but I am just so frazzled at the end of every day! And whoever mentioned locking themselves in the bathroom for a drink, YES. The other day he walked in the door, and I dished up dinner for everybody and then went and closed the door and ate by myself in the office, LOL. I just hadn't had a minute's peace all day long.
