Welcome Robin! No judgements here! I remember feeling like that when I joined a couple years ago. I was 20, unmarried and desperatly wanting a baby! I am now 23, married and STILL desperate for a baby! I hope that the clomid does wonders for you and you get a BFP soon! Is this your first round of clomid? How were your side effects? When do you have your next DR appt? I have PCOS and clomid is the next step for us. Im interested in watching this experience through you! Good luck and welcome again!

Hi! Oh man, thank you for helping me feel welcomed. This is my first round and I've posted around here before that unfortunately my doctor isn't the most caring and didn't even mention anything about monitoring me. He wrote the prescription, added 3 refills and said that if it doesn't work, come back to see him. You have no idea how angry I was when I read on here that most women are actually being monitored! So make sure you don't get a doctor like I did. My only side effects were extreme moodiness and shaking when my blood sugar got low, which startled me. I've never had that happen to me before and didn't know those were even possible side effects. I'd love to keep you (and everyone else that wants to know!) in the loop and hopefully get a BFP sometime soon! Thank you again!

CD#1. I got home from work and AF showed up. She came earlier than expected this time around but at least it wasn't on my payday again. I'm still sick and my doctor gave me an antibiotic that wasn't reccomended for pregnant women so at least now I can take it without worrying. Maybe this cycle i'll have better luck.
Also, I finally found a baby carrier! I posted before about trying to find a carrier without the wide bottom band but had a wide seat for the baby, which was proving nearly impossible for me to do. I was looking through my pregnant sister's carriers today and telling her why she shouldn't really use them when I found it! It has the wide bottom to support the baby but has a thin bottom strap instead of a band. She got it from the same cousin who was going to give me the Snugli.
Back to waiting to O again.

Welcome, Robin! No judgement here from one of the group elders. We all want the same thing so lets cheer each other on! Good luck with clomid. I took it for one cycle and the side effects were awful. I hope you are able to manage them better than i was! Can I ask what your taking Clomid for? It stinks that you aren't being managed but it is a huge expense so you might as well save the money for something else. Also who is the cutie lo in your avi?

I was really hoping you would log in with a pretty pic to show off. You aren't too far behind me so we can commiserate in the 2ww together in a few weeks.

AFM I'm just hanging out on cd5. I won't see dh until saturday morning so I warned him last night that starting Saturday it was show time all next week. This is our last unmedicated cycle before we do injectables and the Clomid should be well into DH's system so fingers crossed its working!

The etsy store is just hanging out, no other bites since the first sale but someone added me as a favorite!

Robin, I WISH I could find a doc that would do that! My insurance wont pay for any of the monitoring and I want to find a doc that will do that for me. I just saw your pics in another post and you have beautiful hair! Love it!

Hi Maricarol! I'm sorry to hear that the Clomid was horrid for you. I honestly expected it to be way worse than it actually was. After the first day or two, it had as much effect on me as the multivitamin I usually take with it! What side effects did you experience, if I may ask?
I'm taking Clomid to hopefully aid in ovulating so my SO and I can finally have a LO of our own. Seriously, sometimes I get so upset at the healthcare that I've gotten in my lifetime. I've had irregular periods since I first got AF at the age of 12. Every time I went for a check up, they told me it was normal, and it'll soon regulate. By the time I was 16, they didn't even have an answer for me anymore. My senior year of high school, I finally got an iPod and downloaded a beauty app. Well, there was a section about "excessive hair" and well one Google search after another led me to self diagnosing myself with PCOS. I FINALLY went to see a obgyn (seriously, at the age of 17) and told her my thoughts and she did blood tests and I was finally diagnosed. I was greatly relieved to know that there was a name for what I had, but extremely upset it took this long to diagnose it, and I did it myself! I think it's because my family was a low income so we were on Medicaid (which is how I paid for my visit to even get my Clomid, but I'm being dropped on my 19th birthday in May) and a lot of the doctors are pathetic. I have no idea if Medicaid covers me being monitored, but if it did, I'm gonna be furious, as then it's just my doctor's neglect. I think he just thought I'd get over my "baby want" since I had to finish my cycle with NuvaRing before I could start.
Oh and the LO in my avi is my SO's precious nephew. Basically, he's my practice baby, LOL. So every time he's around, I get to care for him like my own, but sadly always acknowledging that he's not.

Hayley, do you know how much it costs? And seriously, you don't want my doctor. He just seemed so cold and honestly made me angry assuming that by my age, I'm not responsible and ready for this step in my life, but I am, oh Lord I am, and I don't think anyone in real life will understand that.
Oh yeah, I wanna see that nursery set you picked out!

Im in california, so everything is more expensive. But the initial visit is $300 and each ultrasound is around $250-300. They said atleast 2 ultrasounds per cycle, sometimes more plus the fee for the Dr's visit for each ultrasound. So in all, probobly around $1K a month. I was diagnosed by my RE which covers the PCOS side of it, but not the infertility.

CD#2. I feel like screaming right now! My 18 year old cousin, who is married but split from her husband, just posted on Facebook she's having her 3rd child! Her 2nd child is only 5 months old and her 1st child is only 20 months old and she lost him to Child Services! Each of her children have a different father too! It makes me so mad when people like her keep getting pregnant on accident and it's so hard for the rest of us!

AFM: day 3 of going back on metformin after a little hiatus and boy am I a rollercoaster! The weird thing about it is that I am having different side-effects. When I was on it before (TMI alert) I had the worst diarhea. But since yesterday when I jumped to 2 pills I have had none of that, just a little gassy and been more of an emotional roller coaster. I have been nauseous but nothing I cant handle. Dried fruit has helped with that. Anyways. I a thinking about going to 3 pills a day within the next couple days, but I think I want to wait until after Easter and all the long car drives just in case old symptoms come back!

Anyone have any plans for this Passover/Easter Weekend?
