DD's first Craft Show & Tell

This weeeknd DD1 asked....

"Can I practice sewing like Mary in that Prairie Book?
(dd2) can be Laura and I can be Mary."

Music to my ears!!!!!!!!! Take THAT, disney princesses!
And she proceeded to "sew" a "rag doll" for "Laura's" birthday, which is actually coming up this month.
She was so proud of "sewing"!

I'll have to think of some easy things she can do with fabric. She is 4.

She's so cute! Have you considered lacing cards? You can also get beginning cross stitch that has huge openings and a huge plastic needle for beginners. You can also sew with yarn and do a basic pillowcase or other simple shapes. Maybe beaded necklaces?
